The leg out of the country is €20 more than the leg into it — €350 coming from Barcelona against €370 going back — because a departure run is scheduled around your flight rather than around ours, and the car drives back to Barcelona afterwards. Leaving is the harder direction to improvise. The coach runs to a timetable that was not written around your flight, and the last useful connection of the day is often earlier than people expect in winter. If the drive takes longer than planned a fixed transfer absorbs it — a coach connection you miss does not. A metered taxi will make the trip, but the meter runs for 210 km and you agree no figure before setting off; the fare here is €370 whatever the road does.
Timed backwards from your flight
Give us the flight number and we work the pickup out from it rather than asking you to guess. The drive is about three hours in good conditions, the desks want you at the terminal well before a long-haul departure, and the road down from the valley is the part of the journey with the least give in it.
That margin is where departures from Andorra go wrong. Snow on the CG-1, a queue at the border post, or a slow run down to the Túnel del Cadí all come out of the same buffer, so we build the buffer rather than leaving it to the morning.
If your flight moves, tell us and the pickup moves with it. The fare does not.

Why the way back costs more
Coming from Barcelona the car is already where the work is. Going the other way it is not: a departure from Andorra means positioning a car up the valley for a time your flight chose, and driving it back to Barcelona afterwards. The €20 is that, and nothing else — same car, same driver, same road.
It is the only asymmetric fare on the site. Everywhere else a journey costs what it costs in either direction, which is why the price table lists routes with a ⇄ rather than an arrow. Andorra outbound is €350 from either the airport or the city; Andorra back to either is €370.
The figure is fixed at booking like any other. It is not a surge, it does not move with the season, and it does not change if the drive takes four hours instead of three.
Where we pick up, and where we drop
Anywhere in the country: Andorra la Vella, Escaldes-Engordany, Encamp, Canillo, La Massana, Ordino, Sant Julià. All of them take the same fixed fare, because the drive is dominated by the 200 km to Barcelona rather than by the last few up the valley.
The ski stations are the exception, as they are in the other direction. Pas de la Casa, Soldeu, Grandvalira and Arinsal sit well above the valley towns and are priced by road distance instead — the ski resorts page explains why they are quoted rather than fixed.
At the Barcelona end we drop at T1 or T2 departures, at the cruise port, at Sants, or at any city address. If you are travelling out first, Barcelona to Andorra is the same road at the outbound fare, and booking both legs together is the way to keep one price and one driver across the trip.

It is €20 more — €350 out, €370 back. A departure run means positioning a car up the valley for a time your flight sets, and returning it to Barcelona afterwards. It is the only route on the site priced differently in each direction.
How long does the drive take?
About 3 hours for the 210 km in good conditions. Winter can add to it — snow on the valley road and queues at the border are the usual reasons — which is why a departure pickup is timed with a margin rather than to the minute.
What time will you collect me for my flight?
We work it backwards from your flight. Allow about 3 hours from Andorra la Vella to Barcelona El Prat, plus the check-in window your airline asks for — commonly 2 hours for a long-haul departure and less within Europe — plus a margin for the mountain section of the drive. In practice that puts most morning departures at a pickup before dawn. Give us the flight number when you book and we confirm the exact time with the price.
Do you collect from the ski stations?
Yes, but they are priced by road distance rather than at the Andorra fare — Grandvalira, Pas de la Casa, Soldeu and Arinsal are quoted at booking. The valley towns, including Encamp and Canillo, all take the fixed fare on this page.
Can I book the outbound and the return together?
Yes, and it is worth doing. Barcelona to Andorra is €350 and Andorra back to Barcelona is €370, so a round trip in the cheapest car is €720. Booking both at once fixes each price and keeps the same driver across the trip, rather than leaving the departure to be arranged locally on your last morning.
