Large case = 75 × 50 × 30 cm. Empuriabrava has its own row a few euros from this one, and Cadaqués — over the headland on a slower road — its own page. On a journey this long the table is the point: the fare is known before the car leaves the airport.

Roses has no station. The train gets you to Figueres — the high-speed AVE from Sants does it in under an hour — and from there it is a bus or a taxi across the plain to the coast, with the luggage, after the shuttle from the airport to Sants at the start. Three legs and the best part of three hours. A taxi will do it in one, but a metered fare over 170 km is a number nobody can quote you in advance, and that is the argument for a fixed one.

Roses, Empuriabrava and the bay

The Bay of Roses is the wide sweep of sand at the top of the Costa Brava, with Roses at its northern end under the Cap de Creus and Empuriabrava — the canal town built for boats — ten minutes round the shore. Between them are most of the holiday apartments and hotels of the Alt Empordà, and the Aiguamolls wetland reserve in the middle.

We drop at the door anywhere in Roses at this fare: the hotels along the seafront, apartments up towards Canyelles and Almadrava, or the marina. Empuriabrava is priced on its own row a few euros from this one. Say which when you book and the chauffeur has the address before you land.

Cadaqués is over the headland from Roses on a slower, winding road and has its own page and fare — if that is where you are staying, book Cadaqués rather than Roses and a taxi.

Roses or Empuriabrava

Both at fixed fares, to the door. Cadaqués has its own page.

Late flights are fine

We track the flight and wait 60 minutes free from touchdown — worth more on a run with no late bus.

Book for the boot

Two weeks on the bay is more luggage than the seat count suggests.

Nearly two hours, mostly motorway

About an hour and fifty minutes for roughly 170 km: the AP-7 north past Girona to Figueres — an hour and a quarter of steady motorway — then the C-260 across the plain to the coast. From central Barcelona it is about ten minutes less.

The motorway section is predictable outside the summer changeover weekends; the last stretch into Roses slows on August evenings as the bay fills up. A fixed fare means that costs you time and not money.

Flying into Girona instead of Barcelona cuts the run to under an hour. If your flight gives you the choice, the Girona Airport page has that fare.

On the way, and nearby

Figueres and the Dalí museum are twenty minutes inland from Roses, on the road you arrive by; Cadaqués and Portlligat are over the headland. Coming from the south, Begur, Palamós and Platja d'Aro are the central Costa Brava, each with its own row in the table. The Costa Brava page covers the coast from Blanes to the border.

Booking your transfer

Give us your flight number, the address in Roses or Empuriabrava, and how many passengers. The price is confirmed before you pay and does not move afterwards — not for traffic, not for a delayed flight, not for an August evening on the bay.

  • Fixed price confirmed before you pay
  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before
  • Licensed VTC operator, fully insured
  • Pay by card, or in cash to the driver

Common questions

How much is a transfer from Barcelona Airport to Roses?

From €205 for the Toyota Corolla, fixed per vehicle rather than per person — a family of four pays once. A minivan for a larger group is €250. Prices exclude VAT and tolls; 10% VAT is added only if you ask for an invoice.

How long is the drive from Barcelona to Roses?

About 1 hour 50 minutes for roughly 170 km — the AP-7 to Figueres and then the C-260 across to the coast. From central Barcelona about ten minutes less. August evenings add time on the last stretch into the bay.

Do you go to Empuriabrava?

Yes. Empuriabrava is ten minutes round the bay from Roses and has its own row in the price table, a few euros from the Roses fare. Name it as the destination when you book.

Would Girona Airport be closer?

Much closer — under an hour to Roses. If your route offers a Girona flight, it is worth considering; the Girona Airport page has that fare. From Barcelona, the fixed fare here is the answer to a run that would otherwise be three legs by public transport or an unknown number on a taxi meter.

How does the train compare?

The AVE from Sants reaches Figueres in under an hour, which sounds close. But the airport is not at Sants, Figueres is not on the coast, and Roses has no station: it is the shuttle, the train, then a bus or taxi across with the luggage. Three hours is normal. Fine with a rucksack and time; not with a family at nine at night.

Do you carry child seats?

Yes. Child, baby and booster seats are fitted before the car is dispatched — ask when you book. Pushchairs travel in the boot; mention them so the vehicle is sized for them alongside the cases.
